In the Shadow of the Blade
Local Viet Nam Combat veteran and musician, Rodney Riley was asked to perform on Veteran’s Day at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library….Rodney wrote the lead soundtrack for a war documentary, ‘Shadow of The Blade’, part of which was filmed in Liberty County where we live. Rodney is a friend and one hell of a musician. The film follows a restored UH-1 Iroquois "Huey" helicopter on a flight to reunite Vietnam War veterans and families of the dead with the iconic aircraft three decades after the war as a vehicle for eliciting the stories of ordinary Americans affected by the war.
