Thank you for the explanation Bobby's Boy. I'd appreciate it if you'd take the time to read my lengthy post to follow next, as this situation between you and Kevin, aka Kevrock, indeed upsets me, and I'd like to explain why.

Unfortunately when these types of conflicts take place on a public website it draws many members in whether they want to be included or not. In my case, God blessed me with a caring heart, likely too caring at times if that's possible...I can't help but read some of the drama blogs because I have a natural desire of concern when people I care about are in conflict.

I wasn't sure what happened, other than you had a run in with Kevin (aka Kevrock)...from what I gathered reading the blogs that followed the initial conflict I must have missed. I posted a comment to you in one of those Kevrock blogs you started, not sure if you read it, it was a sincere heartfelt comment of advice and genuine concern.

My first concern is that Kevin is my friend, not only a website friend, but a friend in off board life too...meaning when the opportunity presents itself we spend time together socializing. He's been to my home, we've road tripped together, and so on. Kevin is someone I genuinely care about, we've been friends for over 5 yrs...my husband also considers him a friend...so I'm naturally concerned of course when I read someone is threatning to do him bodily harm. Though I know Kevin is more than capable of defending himself, it doesn't lesson my concern for him.

Second concern...although I don't know you, I've read your posts from time to time in various blogs, overall you seem like a good person. I think it's great you have admiration and respect for Kid Rock to the extent you do. I have respect and admiration for Kid too, for many of the same reasons you do. It was disheartening to see someone I believe to be a good person become angered to the point of threatening bodily harm...an action of which could negatively alter your life and your families life permanetly, no turning back...as well as of course the person & family of the one threatened if the threats become reality.

I understand your emotion of wanting to defend your family's honor, and I understand your anger...I'd be angry if someone insulted my family verbally too. I agree 100% that a members family should be left out of the verbal insulting, it's as low as it gets when family members are attacked. However...the reality is that insulting words on a website aren't worthy of defending honorably when the risk is as high as the one you are willing to make...physical violence likely resulting in jail time, or worse...death.

If someone physically harms your family that's a different ballgame, but we're talking 'words' on a website. A website of which is commonly notorious for some of it's members to spew words of hate, insults, and so on. I know you've been around this website long enough and often enough to know that's how it is. I'm not saying it's right, it's not...not right at all in my opinion. What I'm saying is...it's not as personal as it feels to you that it is. Many members, including Kevin, aka Kevrock...consider it a form of entertainment, a game of battling words, raising emotions in others so to speak. I'm not sure some understand that for some members, depending upon personality...that it is taken personally by some, such as yourself.

You have family, your job is to protect them, protect their honor too to some extent as well, but not to the extent of destroying their lives with their provider and protector sitting in jail, or buried in the ground as a result of violence that stemmed from a website conflict of words.
