What do you do when your heart is broken?

I am far sadder than I ever knew I could be. My father passed away a week ago today. It was a rainy Saturday morning much like today. Some of you know how I feel about my family and what I have been going through, for all your kindness and words of support I thank you.

My one wish is that the world could have known my father better. He was always there for people in need. He worked tirelessly for the Carrollton Trojan's. He gave all he had to his family and still had time for the community he lived in. I was blessed to have an example like my dad to show me how to live a life you can be proud of.

I am also lucky to have a mother that is a pillar of strength, without her my family could not carry on. My brothers, sisters, brother-in-laws, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces and great nephew are a God send. My friends have no idea how much the kind words, flowers and hugs soften the heartache I feel. For that I can never say thank you enough.

There is something I want you to do daily, remember to tell people you love what that mean to you. My father never doubted one day what he meant to his family and friend. Never go to bed angry with the ones you love; you never know when their time on earth will end. For the friends I have here I want to say I love you with all that I have. Never doubt what I feel for you. I love you forever.
