- My name is Karin (Car-In) and I attended my first Kid Rock concert in June of 2004. I was a fan before but OMG I fell in love that night!!!! I was so impressed and I have been a raving fan ever since! My mom, who is 71yrs young is a Kid Rock fan too and I've bought her a few of his albums :-) He's awesome and I can't wait to see him in concert again! Rock on!

- Hello hows it going? We've had some beautiful sunshine these couple days. We have been preparing for good ole winter. Splitting wood, raking and putting away summer decor and furniture etc. I am lacking the much needed ambition to start with the Holiday duties. I used to like to cook and bake a lot, but kinda lost interest when the kids move out. They love to cook; especially my 2 sons. My daughter cooks good, but she would prefer to be learning something new all the time. She likes to decorate with me when she is not at school or busy with her daughters. I like to put Christmas lights and greenery{garlands and the like} up outside in the front. It adds a little color and life to the darkness of winter. In the spring and summer my hobby is my perennial gardens. If I can figure out how to do it I will post some pics of some of my flowers. It is a great stress reliever to dig in the dirt and create beauty. I noticed you have mentioned some crafty hobbies. I have always wanted to do the srapbooking thing but even though I am great organizer, I am a terrible procrastinator . What a combo....heh? I drive my self nuts!! Years ago I sewed clothes, curtians, quilts, pillows and purses. The thing about sewing or actually any hobby seems to take up so much room. If funds were available I guess we all would have a room for each one.ha.Know any good Kid Rock news lately? I saw in one of the news blogs or something, that he is going have a new album coming out in the fall. It is officially Fall right now. Do they mean next Fall? It is exciting to see all the comments about the cruise. They announced some of the other entertainers: Uncle Cracker, Jon Tyler and the NOrthern Lights and DJ Marc. I have heard a little of Uncle Cracker and very little of Jon Tyler and the Northern Lights and never heard of DJ Marc. Do you have any opinions on these artists? If you do tell me all you know, I would like to get familiar with their style, before the trip. Sure wish you were going, sounds like we would have lots in common. I think it is ironic we are both "Cali" girls. Hope to hear from you soon. Have a great week. ttyl.

- Hello, what ya up to this weekend? We finally have some sun today (and yesterday). Last week was wet, windy, cold (mid 30's to mid 40's) and dark. I agree with you; where's fall? My favorite time of year is fall, too. I cannot stand extreme heat and humidity either. I prefer sweater or light jacket type weather. When it's cold there are things you can do, put more clothes on or start a fire (bonfire or fireplace). When it's hot, you can "only get so naked", especially in public. Unless you have relief like a pool or lake/ocean. How cold and how much snow to you usually get by you? Planning any trips this winter or next year? We hope to fit in a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC to our youngest son. Our family is very close and to have one of us so far away , really sucks. I am unemployed right now; no surprise being from MI and all. My education is in business, accounting, and other administrative duties. What do you do? Do you like it? Gotta go for now, I'm going to spend some time with my daughter Kate and her daughters. By the way I really enjoy your pics you posted; just in case you didn't notice?haha

- Thank you for the info. Now can you tell me how to make a forty something woman look like a 27 yr. old hottie? haha! I wonder what the average age of people go to his shows and especially an event like this. I am nervous about all the preparations from now until then. I certianly dont want to be the oldest couple there. What time of year did you go on your cruises? What was the theme (if any)? Where did you go? What type of clothing or accessories should I bring. Even though the ship automatically takes $20 gratuity per person per day, do you still tip or feel obligated to? I don't want to be tagged as a cheapass and possibly get ignored. This trip with the airfare, ship costs, possible lodging before and after the cruise, etc., will add up to a pretty penny; so I just want to be prepared. I am thinking of announcing to the family there will be no Christmas or Birthday presents for a while.haha. Why? Because big MaMa wants to go on a cruise! Well I 'll talk more later about the trip. I really appreciate all info. you can share regarding cruise trips. Now a little personal information, so we can get to know one another. My first name is Connie. I was born in Pacific Grove, CA., was raised in MI. My husband and I have been together since we were 17 yrs. old. We are 48 yrs. old and celebrated our 30th anniversery on August 10, 2009. Yes, high school sweethearts, still together. We have 3 adult children; son/29, daughter/26, son/23. We'll talk later.

- Thanks for responding. Do you have any idea how much cocktails or beers are, I am thinking with all the other goodies going on free; that this is where their gonna get the big dollars. I cannot imagine going on this kind of event without letting loose with some alcohol. My husband surprised me with the idea of the cruise. I can hardly think of anything else.....except for I might be the only one not in a bikini!haha. I'll have to put blinders on him!!haha. On the ship are you able to walk around on all the decks? About how big are the staterooms without porthole or windows? Tell me any thing you want or think would be good to know. Hope to chat with you again.
