Thanks for letting me know you read my blogs...that makes me feel good to know you care. :)
I love the song 'Last Stand In Open Country'. I use to connect it simply to 'me' & where I was at in my life. I shared it with a special friend, and told him the story behind the lyrics as to why Willie wrote...a parable to his last stand and effort in Country Music...competing with the newer artists & music. Well, it became one of my friends favorite songs too...for similar reasons as it was mine, so we somewhat consider it 'our song' now so to speak, haha.
'IF' I should ever re-marry...my dream is to be married in a casual simple ceremony at Marblehead Lighthouse in Ohio, with my family present, and close friends...and the song 'Last Stand In Open Country' will be my brides march song instead of the traditional, hahaha. :)
So good to hear from ya!! I'm here very little but I'm not going anywhere. ;) Been OK..celebrated 10 years C free in August. Went to see KR with my brother in Maryland and saw Chickenfoot, Bad CO and a few other shows..just celebrated!!!!! I'm so glad ya decided to spend time with UR friend..I knew ya would. :D How is he? Did he pass?
Lemme know when ya get a lil bit of free time and we can share a cup o' joe in chat!!
Thanks for the comment Missy! I don't see you posting much these days & miss ya being around!
I still need to write at least 3 more parts to my story before reaching a conclusion. It covers three years and much detail that needs to be told for others to somewhat understand how horrible living with abuse can be, and hopefully if they're in a similar situation...will come to realize that like me, they too can get out. They need to feel my pain though to relate, and it's difficult to express such pain at times. Many memories I can't bring myself to talk about, nor write about.
Anyway, thanks for following my story, and as time & my emotions allow me...I will write addtional parts. Unfortunately...the last few parts will be the most difficult to write, and to read no doubt...as the abuse became much more severe. :(
Hope you're doing well, and post more when you can!!
