Kid Rock Official Community

To start off with, my internet went down. When I got home, bought myself a bottle of booze and wanted to sit here chat and so forth. Anyways, since I couldn't get online, which is actually the first for more then an hour in several years, usually it's like a few minutes. I decided to read every single song lyrics of Kid Rock, from way back of his day to the present. Which I might say, some of his old old songs actually predicted what he thought of his future. I realized how and why I relate to him and what attracted me to him.

But what I'm asking is, why or how do you think you are connected to Kid Rock? And yeah in some strange ways it's Spiritually.

And truth is, I was so bored I kinda went Kid Rock crazy, now I know what happens when my internet goes down lol. Plus the good buzz going on. Damn I need a life. And to add the day I had today.

Ok get on with it, what connected or attracted you to Kid Rock?

First I connected to the music both lyrically and musically. As with most who become fans of a recording artist, I began learning more about him...the more I learned about him, the more I discovered many of his opinions politically and relating to society as whole, were in agreement with mine...so I connected to him in that way as well. Also, his personality reminds me of mine...organizational & clean freak, loyal to the core, stand up for what he believes is right and wrong...I connect in that way too.

Lastly, I connect to most that I have high respect and admiration for. I know personally how painfully difficult it is, both emotionally and physically...to become successful in this life relating to a career in the arts, regardless of art, and it requires many personal sacrifices and hard work...Kid Rock we know through his lyrics and interviews was no exception to this rule.

I have to admit that it started because of RNRJ, saw him in concert in a small venue in Bristol, TN I was freakin blown away by the best concert that I have EVER seen, the energy level, the talent, the LOVE he has for what he does. I had to know more about this KR person and the man behind KR. Got on these boards, I now have every album and know more about the "man" than husband likes.

I love that he "made" it and he did it his way. I admire his freakin work ethic. I use to be a prude and hated crude lyrics. After the concert and seeing his talent I accepted that talent is talent and if he curses and has explicited lyrcis he still was given something great and all the
Other stuff does NOT take away from that!

His music gives me cockyness and toughness that I never had before. Works well for me in my job dealing with assholes!

Sorry this is so long. I don't think it is a question that I can answer in a couple of sentences.

Nice topic and reads ppl !!

What connects me to Kid Rock n TBT is the diverse - talented characters in the band, as well as how diverse in genre the songs are written. As a kid thru present, I've always been down for different tastes that music's got to offer... Kid Rock debut at the prime of my life.. young twenty somethings.. just got married, started going to concerts as a happy couples thing..... Limp Bizkit being our first.. Kid Rock our second... We were hooked

Since then it's been... Kid Rock or Die for us. It's been a way of life in a sense. Sounds crazy, but knowing that there's a show in the future to rock out at.. is knowing I'm getting up every day to go to work. I've become quite accustom to working hard to play even harder... cruise anyone : )

I've also gained a heart for local Detroit music now then ever, listening to Rock spun me off to other local and talented bands to go see.

I've been inspired enough to keep writing & playing music for myself from listening to this band.

I've connected with Bob's songs that talk about his "black sheep child" issues.. as someone has already said,
Pops was a d*ck, no doubt!

Fact is.. we've been following this band around for quite some time now.... like thirty-something groupies...lol.. but the beauty of it is we get to travel and see the country, meet ppl, and hear great music... and yes.. enjoying life by making it mine.
I really wouldn't want it any other way

Right on Connie Jo : )

Bama 05...haha.. eighteen hours drive to get there.. stopped off in Chatanooga, TN the night before for the river fest which headlined Rock... was pooped from that major drive it took us... and much of the time was spent chillin, or sleeping besides the pre-concert and concert in our "hurricane Bama show"....lmao. I remember learning Dillon's favorite tune was Jackson Mississippi, right before we'd left home. They played it that night, Bob dedicated it to Dillon, and as the rain poured down... the show on the stage was pure spiritual for me.
It was so awesome to have had that chance to meet you that day.. and share our smiles for what was about to rock.

Very excited to rock out right next to you come cruise time..... can not wait for that day to come.
Ahoy mate'ee!!!

Yep, we were all in Chatt too hanging in the hotel room...Kevin, Me, Genny, Ricky, Becky (Mild), Queen, Angela, Scott & Brenda...then a bunch more later we met up with on the trolley ride over to the Festival & Kid's show. Kid & TBT were having problems that night with the stage set up, sure different with the stage being set up high in the air like that, made acoustics off I think.

Anyway, next day BAMA! And yes, that show was pure magic, and though each show has it's own magic about it, don't think Bama will ever be beat out as the most magical. The non stop tropical rains somehow added to the magic. I was in awe at Kid Rock, & gained even more respect for him that night...as the man didn't take cover from the constant down pour, rather stayed out front in the torrential rains right along with the sold out crowd of fans! Every time he jumped the rain collected in his hat brim came splashing out, and the puddles under him splattering rain water into those in front of the stage, including us, LOL.

I can honestly say Kid Rock splashed rain water in my face, lol...doubt that beats his sweat drops splattering on me from the Nashville show Oct. 04 though, hahaha.

Yes, Jackson, MS was Dillon's fav Kid Rock song at the time, for many reasons, one being it was the first Kid Rock song he was learning to play on his guitar, and also because of Kenny Olsons contributions musically on guitar. I'll never forget the awesome crowd roar when Kid dedicated Jackson, MS to Dillon! I'll never forget Kevin & I all teary eyed and hugging in the rain, celebrating the moment and so very happy that Dillon's dream had come true in every way.

Heck...I'm all teary eyed now just remembering that entire day and night...very magical indeed.

We're gonna make some magic on that cruise too...I feel it!! :)
