I'm not an expert, but the vet that I work for is a bulldog specialist and breeder, and I can guarantee you you're not going to fing a puppy for less than $100, not unless you find one in a rescue, and even then that's pushing it. Sorry :(

FREE is NEVER free :(

Oh, Angel, you are good person to do all of that for a free dog, lol! What a lucky girl though, imagine how much suffering she could have endured if you didn't take her to the vet. Kudos!

Yorkies are famous for cruciate issues! Did she get a TPLO? That's the newest thing now, lol. Vet needs a special certificate just to perform the surgery. The surgery is around $5000.

I cringe at the thought of a 'free' bulldog, yikes!

I love English bulldog's I hope to have one someday

English Bulldogs (I'm good friends with a breeder) run anywhere from $1000-$3500.
Plus, NOT to mention the vet expenses----be prepared for a small investment!
They have multiple inherited disorders with their pallettes and esphogus'.

pot bellie piggies are fun :) big commitment!!!

ya, they can get huge!
and grumpy! :) They can break your eardrums with their squeals.

I've had to assist in trimming those big buggers not so little feet and man, it's a chore holding them down while they are screaming in your ear!

they are so strong (and smart!)

Courtney, for the amount of money you have to spend, the choice of a small pet (like a turtle, lizard, salamander, etc.) or tropical fish might be the way to go. If you choose those wonderful goggle eyed floppy gold fish, the tank doesn't even need to be heated.

Fun to landscape the terrarium or tank, and pretty easy to take care of and feed. Also, a fish tank can make a great nite lite and soothing to watch as you fall asleep.
