Chad Smith is working on Kid Rock's New Album

Recently, Chad Smith from Red Hot Chilli Peppers was interviewed by Cities 97's radio station and talked about the fact he was going to play on Kid Rock's new album."I'm going to start Kid Rock's new album. Today is the first day. (October 13th 2009)Rick Rubin's producing it and he's like you've gotta play on this, he's got great songs... So I'm going over to do that and then till 4 o'clock and then at 4.30 I'm going to start rehearsing with the Chili Peppers, so..I'm woorrKKING!!"

Marlon co-writes many of the newer songs with Kid, so likely that's why he's playing guitar on RRJ in the studio. If memory is correct, most recording sets for RRJ were in Nashville, rather than Detriot...which means TBT would have to travel back and forth for recording sessions. Nashville has some great studio musicians, no doubt about it.

I think Angie may have hit it with her thoughts...Kid likes outside talent to spice it up, bring in a variety of ideas to do so when recording.; ▶ Reply to This

Kid also invited me out to the studio one evening not long ago while he was recording the backup singers, which was AWESOME! (I got to video tape some of it and bring my friend Meltdown, a Detroit radio DJ from 101.1 WRIF. YAY!) I don't know how much I'm allowed to say about the other artists on the album, or any song titles, but I will tell you all that this is by far, the BEST album he's done yet! I even told him that one song Unkle Kracker co-wrote with him, will be the next "All Summer Long" (in my opinion).

There's an amazing variety of his personal life, ballads, hip-hop and music that everyone can relate to. Yes, with him being as talented as he is, and his unmistakable sound and mix of style, almost everyone can relate to every album he's released so far; But, I promise that on this album, you will find 'whatever you like'... ;-)

I always thought things happened to good people, yet everywhere i look the bad get the goods! I am the oldest of 2 but my sibling and I are 17 yrs apart, i have been with my hubbie for half-my life. and right now a friend is what i need ,i love kid rock , but not in ways of any love- making, i truly just want an honest friend,and u would be great, but i want to have someone else that only costs of a family and nothin to do but care. i would have more of a brother situatuion , but to make things even for my daughter is if i just e-mail im him anything , the info will be safe just mail to my e'mail address. I really am very very lonely and stressed please. Be my friend also my daughter will not be gettin to much for christmas
this year . and for that i'm sad as well she has a bad 2 years
